Description
Cationorm is an emulsion formed by an aqueous phase and an oily phase. The main components of oily phase are mineral oils.
Cationorm with its advanced formulation not only restores moisture but also helps to prevent fluid loss. Ordinary lubricant eye drops simply provide more moisture which can evaporate quickly from the ocular surface.
Composition: Mineral oils, glycerol, tyloxapol, poloxamer 188, tris hydrochloride, tromethamine, cetalkonium chloride and water for injections.
Indications/Uses
Cationorm is a hydrating and lubricating emulsion which protects the ocular surface and relieves the discomfort and irritation due to dry eye caused by prolonged use of contact lenses or environmental condition.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Directions for Use: Wash and dry the hands thoroughly.
Before using, ensure the single-dose container is intact.
Take one single-dose container and shake before use.
Twist off the top to open.
Instill 1 or 2 drops as needed or according to the specialist's advice.
Avoid any contact with the eye nozzle.
Cationorm does not affect contact lenses quality.
Cationorm is compatible with all kind of contact lenses.
Please use under doctor's supervision.
Warnings
For ocular use only.
Do not use in case of specific hypersensitivity toward any of the constituents.
Do not swallow the solution.
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
If the patient concurrently use other eyedrops, wait at least 5 minutes between the administrations of each successive eyedrop. It is recommended to use Cationorm last.
Do not use the solution after the expiry date.
The product does not contain preservatives. Thus, after the container has been opened and the product used, the residual emulsion, if any, should be disposed of.
Side Effects
In very rare cases, a transient discomfort such as: eye irritation, eye pain, foreign body sensation in the eye, eye redness, eye itching, watery eyes, burning sensation in the eye, temporarily blurred vision, eyelids inflammation or eyelids edema can appear. These symptoms are also part of typical symptoms of dry eye disease linked to the underlying existing medical conditions in the patient's eyes suffering from dry eye.
If the patient notices any side effects that are not listed, please inform the doctor or pharmacist.
Storage
Do not store above 30 °C.
