Oral
Hypertension Adult: As hydrochloride: 5 mg once daily, up to 10 mg once daily if needed.

Chống chỉ định
2nd and 3rd degree AV block, sinus bradycardia, uncontrolled heart failure, bronchospasm or asthma, metabolic acidosis, severe peripheral arterial diasease, pheochromocytoma, history of obstructive airways disease.

Thận trọng
1st degree AV block. May mask symptoms of hyperthyroidism and hypoglycaemia. May unmask myasthenia gravis or aggravate psoriasis. May interfere with carbohydrate and lipid metabolism. Patients on long-term treatment should discontinue medication gradually over a period of 1-2 wk as abrupt withdrawal may result in angina, MI, ventricular arrhythmias and death. Pregnancy and lactation.

Bradycardia, hypotension, fatigue, coldness of extremities.
Potentially Fatal: Heart failure, heart block, bronchospasm. |

Tương tác
Additive hypotensive effect with other antihypertensives, aldesleukin, general anaesthetics. Hypotensive effect antagonised by NSAIDs. Increased risk of bradycardia with digoxin, sotalol and other cardiac depressants.
