Adult: As 0.1% soln: Instill 1-2 drops into affected eye(s) 4 times daily.
Child: ≥4 yr Same as adult dose.

Tác dụng không mong muốn
Significant: Eye irritation (e.g. burning, stinging, discomfort), blurred vision or visual disturbances.
Nervous: Headache, dizziness, drowsiness, somnolence. GI: Nausea, stomach discomfort. Resp: Dry nose, sneezing. Ophthalmologic: Eye itching, foreign body sensation of eye, dry eye, crystalline eye deposit, lacrimation, ocular hyperaemia, ocular oedema, xerophthalmia, asthenopia, blepharitis, chemosis, corneal abrasion, corneal erosion, corneal ulcer, epitheliopathy, eye pain, keratitis, ocular warming sensation, swelling of eye. Dermatologic: Skin rash. |

This drug may cause temporary blurred vision or visual disturbances, if affected, do not drive or operate machinery. Remove contact lenses prior to ophth admin and reinsert after 15 min.

Description:
Mechanism of Action: Lodoxamide is a mast cell stabiliser that inhibits release and activation of inflammatory mediators (e.g. histamine, leukotrienes) from conjunctival tissues thus inhibiting type 1 immediate hypersensitivity reactions. Pharmacokinetics: Excretion: Mainly via urine, 83%. Elimination half-life: 8.5 hr. |
