Mechanism of Action: Indobufen inhibits platelet aggregation by reversibly inhibiting the cyclo-oxygenase enzyme, resulting in suppressed thromboxane synthesis. Pharmacokinetics: Absorption: Rapidly absorbed; peak plasma concentrations in 2 hr. Distribution: Protein-binding: 99%. Metabolism: Hepatic. Excretion: Via urine (75%, as metabolites and unchanged drug); 8 hr (plasma half-life). |
