Administration
Should be taken with food.

Contraindications
Neonates with untreated infection, significant renal impairment or necrotising enterocolitis. Infants who are bleeding, have thrombocytopenia or coagulation defects.

Special Precautions
Caution when used in epilepsy, parkinsonism or psychiatric disorders. Regular blood and ophthalmic examinations are recommended in patients on long-term therapy.

Adverse Reactions
GI disturbances, headache, vertigo, dizziness and lightheadedness.

PO: Z (NSAIDs caused foetal ductus arteriosus premature closure, foetal renal impairment and persistent pulmonary hypertension. Avoid near term, else use lowest dose for shortest time.)

Drug Interactions
Concurrent use with ACE inhibitors may increase risk of renal impairment and hyperkalaemia. Increased risk of GI bleeding when used with alcohol.

Lab Interference
May cause false-negative results in dexamethasone suppression test.
