Hyoscine - Transdermal

Patient Medicine Information
Why do I need this medicine?
Hyoscine is used to prevent nausea and vomiting from motion sickness (unpleasant feeling when you’re travelling) or after undergoing a surgery.
How do I use this medicine?
Apply the Hyoscine patch on your skin exactly as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the label. Do not apply more or less than instructed by your doctor.

This medicine is available as a patch.

How to use this medicine:
  1. Each patch is individually packed in a foil pouch. Remove the patch from the protective foil pouch and peel away half of the liner. Do not touch the sticky side with your fingers.
  2. Apply the patch to a clean, dry, and hairless area of the skin behind the ear. Do not apply on areas of the skin that are cut, blistered or irritated.
  3. Peel away the other half of the liner. Press it firmly on the skin to ensure that the patch stays on the skin.
  4. To avoid any contact of this medicine with your eyes, wash your hands right after applying the patch. If the medicine accidentally had any contact with your eyes, rinse it immediately with water. Alert your doctor if you start to have any problems with your eyesight.
  5. After removing the patch, wash your hands and clean the area where that patch had been applied.
  6. Fold the used patch in half with the sticky side together. Dispose it in a rubbish bin.
What should I do if I have forgotten to use this medicine?
Do not use more than what is instructed by the doctor to make up for the missed dose.
When should I not use this medicine?
