Halobetasol propionate
Indications/Uses
Relief of inflammatory & pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid responsive dermatoses.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Wash affected area w/ soap & water. Apply a thin film into the affected area bid.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Skin TB, chicken pox, herpes simplex, measles, vaccinia, perioral dermatitis, acne rosacea/vulgaris, syphilitic skin lesions & untreated bacterial, fungal, or viral skin lesions. Pregnancy. Childn <12 yr.
Special Precautions
Not for ophth, oral or intravag use. Avoid using large amounts & over large areas of the body & contact w/ face, axillae, perianal region, genitalia, eyes & mucous membranes. Discontinue treatment if irritation develops. Patients w/ history of allergic-type responses to other topical or oral corticosteroids; history of preexisting skin atrophy & peripheral vascular disease; diabetes; history of immunosuppression & immunocompromised patients. Concomitant use w/ systemic antifungal or steroid treatment. Lactation.

Stinging, burning, itching.
