Per 100 g Extr cepae 10 g, heparin Na 5,000 IU, allantoin 1 g
Indications/Uses
Hypertrophic & keloidal scars, movement restricting & cosmetically disfiguring scars after operations, amputations, burns & accidents, contractures eg, Dupuytren's contracture & traumatic tendon contracture, cicatricial strictures.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply to the skin or scar tissue several times daily & gently massage until gel has been completely absorbed. In the case of hard, old scars allow the gel to take effect overnight under a dressing. Childn >1 yr Apply once daily or bid.
Special Precautions
May cause allergic & local skin reactions (eg, contact dermatitis). Avoid physical irritants eg, extreme cold, UV light or heavy massage when treating fresh scars. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <1 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Pruritus, erythema, telangiectasis, scar atrophy.
