Indications/Uses
Bacterial conjunctivitis & other superficial ocular infections caused by susceptible organisms including E. coli, H. influenzae, Staph aureus (Micrococcus pyogenes), Strep hemolyticus, Morax-Axenfeld bacillus). Prophylaxis for abrasions of the cornea following removal of foreign bodies from the cornea.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Instill 2 drops into the affected eye(s) every 3 hr. Administer day & night for the 1st 48 hr then less frequently. Continue for 48 hr after eyes appear normal.
Special Precautions
Sensitization may develop; discontinue use if hypersensitivity occur. Avoid prolonged use.
Adverse Reactions
Local irritations w/ itching & burning, angioneurotic edema, urticaria, vesicular & maculopapular dermatitis.
