Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Special Precautions
Adjust hypoglycaemic medications in patients who gain wt. Discontinue immediately if symptoms of angioedema (eg, facial, perioral, or upper airway swelling) occur. Dizziness & somnolence which could increase the occurrence of accidental injury (fall) in the elderly. Visual adverse reactions including vision loss, visual blurring or other changes of visual acuity. Occurrence of w/drawal symptoms observed after discontinuation of short- & long-term treatment. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Dizziness, somnolence, ataxia, confusion, asthenia, abnormal thinking, blurred vision, incoordination, peripheral edema, increased appetite, euphoric mood, irritability, decreased libido, tremor, dysarthria, memory impairment, paraesthesia, sedation, balance disorder, lethargy, vertigo, flushing, hot flushes, hypotension, HTN, dry mouth, constipation, flatulence.
