Indications/Uses
Adjunctive therapy to reduce triglyceride levels in adult w/ severe hypertriglyceridemia (≥500 mg/dL).
Dosage/Direction for Use
Administration
Should be taken with food: Swallow whole, do not break/open/crush/dissolve/chew.
Contraindications
Special Precautions
Patients w/ hemorrhagic disorders or those receiving anticoagulants or other drugs affecting coagulation. Monitor hepatic function in patients w/ hepatic impairment, particularly in high doses. Asthmatic patients sensitive to aspirin for potential effect on prostaglandin synthesis. Pregnancy & lactation.
Drug Interactions
Potential interaction w/ aspirin & other NSAIDs, & herbs (eg, garlic, ginkgo) which may be manifested by increased susceptibility to bruising, nosebleed, hemoptysis, hematemesis, hematuria & blood in the stool.
