Paracetamol
Indications/Uses
Relief of fever & mild to moderate pain.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Childn 6-12 yr 5-10 mL every 4-6 hr when necessary, 1-5 yr 2.5-5 mL every 4-6 hr when necessary. Max: 4 doses in 24 hr.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Special Precautions
Discontinue use if allergic reaction occurs. Patients w/ anaemia, cardiac or pulmonary disease. Renal & hepatic disease.
Adverse Reactions
Cutaneous hypersensitivity reactions eg, skin rashes, angioedema, SJS/TEN.
Drug Interactions
Increased anticoagulant effect. Increased blood conc of unhydrolysed aspirin.
