Contents
Per 5 mL Triprolidine HCl 1.25 mg, pseudoephedrine HCl 30 mg, guaiphenesin 100 mg
Indications/Uses
Symptomatic relief of upper resp tract disorders accompanied by productive cough.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & childn >12 yr 10 mL tds. Childn 6-12 yr 5 mL tds, 2-6 yr 2.5 mL tds.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Severe HTN & CAD. MAOIs.
Special Precautions
Not to be used for persistent or chronic cough. HTN, heart disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, elevated IOP, prostatic enlargement. May impair ability to drive or operate machinery. Renal & hepatic impairment.
Adverse Reactions
Drowsiness, insomnia, dry mouth, blurred vision, constipation, skin rashes, tremor, anxiety, irritability, restlessness, nausea, vomiting, GI disturbances, palpitations & urinary retention.
Drug Interactions
Sympathomimetics eg, decongestants, TCAs, amphetamine-like psychostimulants. MAOIs. α- & β-blockers, alcohol.
