Indications/Uses
Prophylaxis & chronic treatment of asthma. Relief of day- & nighttime symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis in adults ≥15 yr.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Asthma &/or allergic rhinitis Adult One 10-mg tab daily. Childn 6-14 yr One 5-mg tab daily.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Special Precautions
Known aspirin sensitivity. Not to be used in acute asthma attacks. Not to be abruptly substituted for inhaled or oral corticosteroids.
Adverse Reactions
Hypersensitivity reactions including anaphylaxis, angioedema, rash, pruritus, urticaria; dream abnormalities & hallucinations, drowsiness, irritability, restlessness, insomnia; nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia, diarrhea; myalgia including muscle cramps.
Drug Interactions
Phenobarb; aspirin, NSAIDs.
