Adult Trichomonas vaginitis 2 tab bd for 7 days or 4 tab in the morning & 6 tab in the evening for 2 days or 10 tab as single dose.
Amoebiasis: Invasive intestinal disease in susceptible subject Adult & childn >10 yr 4 tab tds;
childn 7-10 yr 2 tab tds;
3-7 yr 1 tab qds;
1-3 yr 1 tab tds. Duration: 5 days.
Intestinal disease in less susceptible subject & chronic amoebic hepatitis Adult & childn >10 yr 2 tab tds;
childn 7-10 yr 1 tab tds. Duration: 5-10 days.
Amoebic liver abscess, other forms of extraintestinal amoebiasis Adult & childn >10 yr 2 tab tds;
childn 7-10 yr 1 tab tds. Duration: 5 days.
Symptomless cyst passers Adult & childn >10 yr 2-4 tab tds;
childn 7-10 yr 1-2 tab tds. Duration: 5-10 days.
Acute ulcerative gingivitis Adult & childn >10 yr 1 tab tds for 3 days.
Acute dental infection Adult & childn >10 yr 1 tab tds for 3-7 days.
Prophylaxis against anaerobic infection in abdominal (especially colorectal) & gynaecological surgery Adult 2 tab tds for 3-4 days followed by post-op IV or rectal administration until patient is able to take PO.
Childn 7.5 mg/kg tds.
Established anaerobic infection Adult Initially 4 tab, followed by 2 tab tds.
Childn 7.5 mg/kg tds.
