Contents
Per cream Fusidic acid 2%, hydrocortisone 1%. Per oint Na fusidate 2%, hydrocortisone 1%
Indications/Uses
Inflammatory dermatoses, including dermatitis, seborrhoeic dermatitis, allergic infantile dermatitis, infected eczema & infected acne where bacterial infections are present or likely to occur.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & childn Uncovered lesions: Apply gently tds-qds. Covered lesions: Apply less frequently.
Contraindications
Bacterial infections due to non-susceptible organisms, fungal infections, skin TB, syphilitic skin infections, chicken pox, eruptions following vaccination & viral skin disease in general.
Special Precautions
Avoid long-term continuous therapy in infants; avoid application near eyes. Not to be used >7 days in absence of any clinical improvement. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Irritation at site of application, flare up of dermatitis. Dryness, itching, burning, striae, skin atrophy, telangiectasis, hypertrichosis, change in pigmentation & secondary infection. Acne rosacea or perioral dermatitis can occur when applied to face.
