Contents
Per mL Ciprofloxacin HCl 3 mg, fluocinolone acetonide 0.25 mg
Indications/Uses
Acute otitis externa & media w/ tympanostomy tubes in adults & childn ≥6 mth caused by ciprofloxacin-susceptible microorganisms.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult, elderly & childn ≥6 mth Instill 6-8 drops into external ear canal 12 hrly for 7 days.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin, fluocinolone acetonide or quinolones. External ear canal viral infections (ie, varicella & herpes simplex infections) & fungal otic infections.
Special Precautions
Not for oral, ophth use, inhalation or inj. Discontinue immediately if skin rash or other signs of hypersensitivity occur. Serious & fatal hypersensitivity reactions. Overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms; superinfection. May cause allergic reactions due to methyl & propyl parahydroxybenzoate. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <6 mth.
Adverse Reactions
Dysgeusia; ear pain, discomfort & pruritus.
