Indications/Uses
Symptomatic treatment of seasonal & perennial allergic rhinoconjunctivitis & urticaria.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Childn 6-11 yr, at least 20 kg 10 mg once daily.
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach: Take 1 hr before or 2 hr after meals/fruit juice. Place in the mouth to rapidly disperse then swallow. May also disperse tab in water. Do not use grapefruit juice or any other fruit juices.
Special Precautions
Avoid co-administration w/ P-gp inhibitors in patients w/ moderate or severe renal impairment. May affect ability to drive & use machines. Avoid use during pregnancy. Lactation. Not to be used in childn 2-5 yr & <20 kg.
Adverse Reactions
Rhinitis; headache; allergic conjunctivitis; abdominal pain.
Drug Interactions
Reduced oral bioavailability w/ food. Decreased bioavailability w/ grapefruit juice. Increased AUC & Cmax w/ ketoconazole or erythromycin. Increased plasma conc w/ cyclosporine. Increased Cmax w/ diltiazem.
