Ophth Mild to moderate infections Instill 1 drop every 4 hr. Severe infections Instill 1 drop every hr. Otic Instill 3-4 drops tds, gradually decrease dose as inflammation subsides.
Hypersensitivity to corticosteroids or aminoglycosides. Ocular fungal disease, acute superficial herpes simplex keratitis or acute viral infections, history or active ocular TB. Bullous myringitis, herpes simplex, herpes zoster oticus, tubercular or fungal ear infections, vaccinia, varicella or other ear viral disease, chronic otitis media or perforated eardrum.
Hypersensitivity to bisulphites. Cataracts, conditions predisposing to cataract formation eg, DM, disease causing cornea & sclera thinning, family history of glaucoma, cornea & conjunctiva infections. Acute or chronic ear infections & otitis media especially in childn. Not to be given during pregnancy & lactation.
S01CA05 - betamethasone and antiinfectives ; Belongs to the class of corticosteroids in combination with antiinfectives. Used in the treatment of eye diseases.
