Per 5 mL Triprolidine HCl 1.25 mg, pseudoephedrine HCl 30 mg
Indications/Uses
Symptomatic relief of nasal & resp congestion, common cold, acute sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, vasomotor rhinitis.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & childn >12 yr 10 mL tds, 6-12 yr 5 mL tds, 2-5 yr 2.5 mL tds, 6 mth-2 yr 1.25 mL tds.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to antihistamines. Severe HTN or CAD; MAOI therapy.
Special Precautions
Narrow-angle glaucoma, DM, urinary retention, history of bronchial asthma, hyperthyroidism, epilepsy, CV disease, prostatic enlargement. May impair abiltiy to drive or operate machinery. Severe renal or hepatic impairment. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <2 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Sedation, inability to concentrate, lassitude, dizziness, hypotension, muscular weakness, incoordination, GI disturbances, headache, blurred vision, tinnitus, elation or depression, irritability, anxiety, restlessness, tachycardia, palpitations, tremor, insomnia, confusion, anorexia, difficulty in micturition, urinary retention, dyspnoea, dry mouth, chest tightness.
