Indications/Uses
Shock, burns, hypoproteinaemia, hyperbilirubinaemia, cardiopulmonary bypass procedures.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult Initial infusion of 100 mL. Childn ¼-½ adult dose or 0.6-1 g/kg.
Contraindications
Severe heart failure; severe anaemia.
Special Precautions
Low cardiac reserve; marked dehydration.
Adverse Reactions
Circulatory overload, pulmonary oedema. Rarely, urticaria, chills, fever.
