Indications and Dosage
Ophthalmic

Adult: As an eye drop: 0.1% solution: Use as directed.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity.
Special Precautions
Ensure adequate sun protection as pranoprofen may cause photosensitivity.
Adverse Reactions
Allergic reactions such as itching, swelling, redness.
Drug Interactions
Concurrent use with probenecid may reduce renal excretion. Alcohol may increase the risk of GI bleeding when used together. Concurrent use with ACE inhibitors may also increase risk of renal impairment and hyperkalaemia.

Mechanism of Action: Pranoprofen is an NSAID, a propionic acid derivative. It is used as an eye drop in the treatment of ocular inflammation. It is also used in the treatment of pain, inflammation and fever.
