Indications and Dosage
Oral
Mucolytic
Adult: Up to 800 mg daily, given in divided doses.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Special Precautions
Renal impairment. Pregnancy.

Stomach pain and cutaneous rash.

Description:
Mechanism of Action: Cyclidrol is a mucolytic that is used in respiratory disorders such as productive cough.
Pharmacokinetics:
Absorption: Rapidly absorbed from the GI tract after oral admin.
Distribution: Rapidly distributed.
Excretion: 13% (after IV admin) and 23% (after oral admin) of the dose was excreted in urine as unchanged drug, glucuronidated cyclidrol and hydrated carvone.
