Initially 1.25 mg increased after 2-3 days to 2.5 mg at bedtime. Dosage may be increased by 1.25 mg at 2-3 days interval until 2.5 mg bd is reached. Further dosage increments, if necessary, should be effected in a similar manner.
Prevention of lactation 2.5 mg on day of delivery followed by 2.5 mg bd for 14 days.
Suppression of lactation 2.5 mg on 1st day, increasing after 2-3 days to 2.5 mg bd for 14 days.
Hypogonadism/prolactinomas/galactorrhoea syndrome/infertility 7.5-30 mg daily in divided doses.
Cyclical benign breast disease/cyclical pronounced mastalgia/cyclical menstrual disorders 2.5 mg bd.
Acromegaly 20-60 mg.
Parkinson's disease 10-80 mg daily in divided doses.
