Indications/Uses
Relief of cough esp when associated w/ acute & chronic bronchitis, asthma, bronchiectasis & emphysema. Cough-induced sinusitis & otitis media. Resp diseases accompanied by excessive & tenacious bronchial secretions.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 12.5 mL. Childn 8-12 yr 7.5 mL. 4-7 yr 5 mL, 2-3 yr 2.5 mL. Doses are to be taken tds. Patient <1 yr 0.5 mL/kg/day in divided doses.
Administration
Should be taken with food.
Contraindications
Peptic ulcer.
Special Precautions
History of peptic ulcer. Supervise administration in infant w/ excessive bronchial secretions. Infant & childn <2 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Headache, skin rash. GI disturbances, GI bleeding.
