Nimesulide
Indications/Uses
Treatment of inflammatory conditions w/ or w/o pain, that may be accompanied by pyrexia especially those of musculoskeletal origin.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 50-100 mg bd.
Administration
Should be taken with food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to aspirin or NSAIDs. Active peptic ulcer or GI bleeding.
Special Precautions
Chronic renal failure, hepatic impairment, impaired cardiac function, SLE, GI disorders. Hypertensive patients on diuretics; patients on anticoagulants. Elderly. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
GI disturbances. Rarely, rash.
Drug Interactions
Warfarin, sulfonylureas, hydantoins, sulfonamides.
