Cerebral arteriosclerosis; asthma; increased internal eye pressure when the pupil is enlarged; red or inflamed eyes. Can cause the cornea to become cloudy if the surface of the cornea is damaged. Remove contact lenses prior to administration. Do not wear contact lenses until the effects of the drops have completely worn off. Some patients may find bright light (eg, daylight) uncomfortable for a few hr after receiving the eye drops. Vision may be blurred after administration. Wait until the vision is clear before driving or using machines. Pregnancy & lactation. 2.5% w/v eye drops: Caution in the elderly. 10% w/v eye drops: Not recommended in childn 12-18 yr or elderly patients.
