Dosage/Direction for Use

By IM inj only. Acute exposure to blood containing HBsAg 0.06 mL/kg body wt w/in 24 hr. Prophylaxis of infants born to HBsAg & HBeAg +ve mothers 0.5 mL to be given w/in 12 hr of birth. Sexual exposure to an HBsAg +ve person 0.06 mL/mg of HBIG IM as a single dose w/in 14 days of last sexual contact. 1 mL IM of vaccine, 1st dose given at time of HBIG treatment. Household exposure to persons w/ acute HBV infection Infant <12 mth 0.5 mL.
