Cetirizine diHCl
Indications/Uses
Symptomatic treatment of allergic rhinitis, rash & urticaria.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & childn ≥12 yr 1 tab daily. Childn 6-12 yr >30 kg body wt 1 tab once daily or ½ tab bd, <30 kg body wt ½ tab once daily.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Severe renal impairment; lactose or galactose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption. Childn <6 yr.
Special Precautions
Discontinue 3 days prior to skin test procedures. Long-term use may increase risk of dental caries. Renal or hepatic insufficiency. May impair ability to drive or operate machinery. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Dry mouth, tiredness, sleepiness.
Drug Interactions
CNS depressants. Alcohol.
