Indications/Uses

Supplement in IV nutrition to meet phosphate requirements in adult & infant.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Individualized dosage. Adult 10-20 mmol phosphate daily. Infant 1-1.5 mmol/kg body wt/day.

Contraindications

State of dehydration, hypernatraemia, hyperphosphataemia, severe renal insufficiency, shock.

Special Precautions

Renal impairment. Monitor phosphate status regularly. Must not be given undiluted.
