Special Precautions
Patients w/ history of non-severe hypersensitivity to other β-lactam agents. Immediately discontinue in case of severe hypersensitivity reactions. Not suitable for use as a single agent for the treatment of some types of infections. Antibacterial agent-associated colitis & pseudomembranous colitis. Concurrent treatment w/ high doses of cephalosporins & nephrotoxic medicinal products eg, aminoglycosides or potent diuretics (eg, furosemide). Prolonged use may result in overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms (eg, Enterococci, fungi).
