Skin infections where co-existing symptoms of inflammation (eg, itching) require rapid relief: All dermatomycoses due to dermatophytes (eg, Trichophyton spp), moulds & other fungi; all dermatomycoses due to yeasts (Candida spp); secondary infection skin disease w/ these fungi; nappy rash due to C. albicans. Candidal vulvitis, candidal balanitis & candidal intertrigo.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply thinly & evenly bd to the affected area & rubbed in gently. Max treatment should be for 7 days. Max daily dose: 10 mg/kg. Adult weighing 50 kg Max daily dose: 500 mg (approx 2 cm) to be divided into 2 applications per day. Elderly & childn No separate dosage schedule.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity.
Special Precautions
Do not apply to large areas (>5-10% of body surface), in long-term continuous therapy, under occlusive dressings (eg, nappies & bandages). Infants & childn.
