Management of obesity as short-term adjunct to wt reduction in obese & overwt patients.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & childn >12 yr 1 cap daily at breakfast.
Administration
Should be taken with food: Take at breakfast. Avoid taking near bedtime. Swallow whole, do not chew/crush.
Contraindications
Pulmonary HTN; existing heart valve abnormalities or heart murmurs; moderate to severe arterial HTN; cerebrovascular disease; severe cardiac disease; hyperthyroidism; agitated states or a history of psychiatric illnesses; glaucoma; history of drug/alcohol-related abuse. Concomitant or w/in 2 wk of MAOI therapy.
Special Precautions
Mild HTN, diabetes, CAD, epilepsy. May affect ability to drive or operate machinery. Concomitant therapy w/ psychotropic drugs or antihypertensives. Pregnancy. Childn <12 yr. Elderly.
