Indications/Uses
Mild to moderate pain in dysmenorrhoea, migraine; post-op pain, ankylosing spondylitis, OA & RA; symptomatic relief of pain & fever in childn.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 20 mL 4-6 hrly. Max: 120 mL/day. Childn 5-12 yr 10 mL tds or 1 mL/kg/day, 1-5 yr 5 mL tds or 1 mL/kg/day, 6 mth to 1 yr 1 mL/kg body wt/day given in divided doses.
Administration
Should be taken with food: Take immediately after meals.
Contraindications
Active GI bleeding. Hypersensitivity to aspirin or NSAIDs.
Special Precautions
Elderly, asthma, bronchospasm, bleeding disorders, CV disease, peptic ulceration, hepatic or renal failure, collagen disease. Pregnancy.
Adverse Reactions
GI disturbances, peptic ulceration, GI bleeding, headache, dizziness, nervousness, rash, pruritus, tinnitus; oedema, depression, drowsiness, insomnia, blurred vision, renal impairment, thrombocytopenia.
Drug Interactions
Lithium, methotrexate, diuretics, β-blockers, warfarin, phenytoin, sulfonylureas.
