Atropine sulfate
Indications/Uses
Iritis & uveitis, to immobilise the iris & ciliary muscle & to prevent or break down adhesions. Used in refraction determination, including in childn <6 yr & childn w/ convergent strabismus.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult Refraction 1 or 2 drops to be instilled into the eye(s) 1 hr before refracting. Uveitis/iritis 1 or 2 drops to be instilled into the eye(s), max of 4 times daily. Childn Refraction 1 drop bd to be instilled into each eye for 1-3 days prior to the exam. Uveitis/iritis 1 drop to be instilled into each eye, max of 3 times daily.
Special Precautions
Elderly or patients w/ raised IOP.
