Indications/Uses
Treatment of OA.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult >15 yr Initially 1 cap once daily for the 1st mth followed by 1 cap bd from the 2nd mth onwards. Usual Dose: 1 cap bd. Patients w/ severe renal insufficiency (CrCl <30 mL/min) ½ adult dose.
Administration
Should be taken with food: Take w/ or immediately after meals.
Contraindications
Inflammatory organic colopathy (ulcerative retocolitis, Crohn's disease), occlusive or sub-occlusive syndrome, painful abdominal syndromes, severe hepatic insufficiency.
Special Precautions
Childn <15 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Accelerated intestinal transit. Diarrhoea; epigastric pain & disturbances. Nausea & vomiting. Pruritus, eruptions & eczema. More intense yellow-coloration of urine.
Drug Interactions
Excess fibres or phytates. Al(OH)3- &/or Mg(OH)2-containing products. Increase enterocolic events in co-administration w/ antibiotics &/or chemotherapy.
