AdultMost infections, mild to moderate lower resp tract infections (eg, bronchitis), pyelonephritis 250 mg every 12 hr. UTI 125 mg every 12 hr. More severe lower resp tract infections, or if pneumonia is suspected 500 mg every 12 hr. Uncomplicated gonorrhea 1 g as single dose. Ped 3 mth-12 yrPharyngitis/tonsillitis 20 mg/kg bid divided in equal doses for 10 days. Max: 500 mg/day. Acute bacterial otitis media, acute bacterial maxillary sinusitis (mild to moderate), impetigo 30 mg/kg bid divided in equal doses for 10 days. Max: 1,000 mg/day.
