Triamcinolone helps alleviate constant runny nose, sneezing and itching associated with allergic rhinitis or non-allergic seasonal rhinitis.
Use Triamcinolone exactly as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the label. Do not use more or less than instructed by your doctor.
If you are using this medicine for the first time, remove the cap and press the pump a few times until you produce an even spray. If you have not used the spray for 2 weeks, press the pump until you get an even spray.
How to use:
1. Blow your nose gently before using the spray.
2. Shake the bottle well.
3. Place nozzle into nostril and ensure firm fit.
4. Press the pump to the recommended dose.
5. Wipe and cap the nasal spray after using.
Make sure you know how to use your nasal spray. If you have problems or do not understand the instructions, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
You may need to use this medicine for some time before the full benefits can be felt. Continue to use it even when you feel better. Do not stop using it unless instructed to do so by the doctor.
Do not share your nasal spray with others as it could spread infection.
Administer the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and return to your normal dosing schedule.
DO NOT double a dose under any circumstances.
If you often forget to use your medicine, let your doctor and pharmacist know.
Alert your doctor if you have an active or untreated infections such as tuberculosis as Triamcinolone may not be suitable for you.
Inform your doctor if you have the following conditions:
- adrenal gland disease
- surgery in the nose
- cataract (clouding of the lens of the eye)
- glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye)
Let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Avoid spraying this medicine in your eyes. If the mist gets into your eyes, flush it with clean water. See a doctor quickly if there is pain, discomfort, blurred vision or any problems with your eyesight after the mist enters your eyes.
Triamcinolone may cause any of the following side effects: headache, indigestion, sneezing, discomfort or irritation of the nasal passage and nose bleed.
Inform your doctor if any of these side effects do not go away or are severe, or if you experience other side effects.
Inform your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking medicines used to treat cancer e.g. ceritinib.
Always notify your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, including herbal tonics such as traditional Chinese medicines, supplements and medicines that you buy without a prescription.
Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children.
Do not freeze.
Medicines must not be used past the expiry date.
