Indications/Uses
Symptomatic relief in long-term treatment of OA.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Initially 1 cap/day w/ evening meal for 4 wk, increased to 1 cap bd.
Administration
Should be taken with food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to anthraquinone derivatives. Previous episode of enterocolic disturbances & IBS. Combined use w/ laxatives.
Special Precautions
Severe renal insufficiency. Perform complete blood test, liver enzymes & urine analysis every 6 mth. Severe nutritional deficiencies. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn.
Adverse Reactions
Diarrhoea, abdominal pain. Dark yellow colour of urine.
Drug Interactions
Fibres or phytates. Al or Mg hydroxide. Antibiotics, chemotherapy.
