Contraindications
Prostatic enlargement, paralytic ileus, pyloric stenosis, angle-closure glaucoma.

Special Precautions
Ulcerative coliltis, diarrhoea, myasthenia gravis, thyrotoxicosis, heart failure, acute MI, children and elderly. May cause confusion.

Adverse Reactions
Mouth dryness, difficulty in swallowing and talking, thirst, reduced bronchial secretions, mydriasis with loss of accommodation (cycloplegia) and photophobia, skin flushing and dryness, transient bradycardia followed by tachycardia, palpitations and arrhythmias, difficulty in micturition, reduction in the tone and motility of the GI tract leading to constipation.

Drug Interactions
Effects enhanced when used with drugs that have antimuscarinic properties. May affect the absorption of certain drugs. May also antagonise the effects of metoclopramide, domperidone and cisapride.
