Indications/Uses
Erosive or ulcerative GERD; symptomatic GERD; duodenal ulcers; H. pylori eradication to reduce the risk of duodenal ulcer recurrence; pathological hypersecretory conditions, including Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Maintenance for erosive or ulcerative GERD.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Erosive or ulcerative GERD 1 tab once daily for 4-8 wk. May consider an additional 8-wk course if necessary. Symptomatic GERD 1 tab once daily for 4 wk. May consider an additional course of treatment if necessary. Duodenal ulcer 1 tab once daily after the morning meal up to 4 wk. May consider additional therapy if necessary. H. pylori eradication 20 mg in combination w/ amoxicillin 1,000 mg & clarithromycin 500 mg bd (morning & evening) for 7 days. Pathological hypersecretory conditions, including Zollinger-Ellison syndrome Recommended dose: 60 mg once daily. Dose is individualized & may be continued as clinically indicated. May be given in divided doses or continued up to 1 yr. Maintenance of erosive or ulcerative GERD 1 tab once daily.
Administration
May be taken with or without food: Swallow whole, do not chew/crush.

Special Precautions
Mild to moderate liver impairment. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Drug Interactions
May interfere w/ absorption of ketoconazole, Fe salts & digoxin.
