Clopidogrel bisulphate
Indications/Uses
For the reduction of atherosclerotic events (MI, stroke & vascular death) in patients w/ atherosclerosis documented by recent stroke, recent MI or established peripheral arterial disease.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Active pathological bleeding eg peptic ulcer or intracranial hemorrhage.
Special Precautions
Patients at risk of increased bleeding from trauma, surgery or other pathological conditions. Discontinue therapy 7 days prior to surgery. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Chest pain, accidental injury, flu-like symptoms, pain, fatigue; edema, HTN; headache, dizziness; abdominal pain, dyspepsia, diarrhea, nausea; hypercholesterolemia; arthralgia, back pain; purpura, epistaxis; depression; upper resp tract infection, dyspnoea, rhinitis, bronchitis, coughing; rash, prorates; UTI.
