Potentially Fatal: Renal papillary necrosis and transitional-cell cancer of the renal pelvis (prolonged use).
Action
Description: Phenacetin is a para-aminophenol derivative analgesic. It also has an antipyretic property. It is usually given with caffeine, aspirin or codeine as part of a combination preparation.
