Each capsule contains: Freeze-dried yeast of Saccharomyces boulardii 250 mg (Saccharomyces cerevisiae (Boulardii) 2.5 billion organisms).
Saccharomyces boulardii is a nonpathogenic, probiotic yeast which nutritionally supports the health of the gastrointestinal tract.
Probiotics like Saccharomyces boulardii are nonpathogenic microorganisms that, when ingested, exert a positive influence on the health or physiology of the host. They can influence intestinal physiology either directly or indirectly through modulation of the endogenous ecosystem or immune system.
For establishment or maintenance of a well-functioning intestinal flora and a good intestinal health. Treatment and prevention of Clostridium difficile diarrhea, Traveler's diarrhea, Antibiotic-associated diarrhea.
Children over 12 years and adults: For establishment and maintenance of a well-functioning intestinal flora and a good intestinal health or treatment of diarrhea: Take 1 capsule once or twice daily.
For prevention of Traveler's diarrhea: Take 1 capsule once or twice daily starting 5 days before departure.
Children 2-12 years old: Take 1 capsule once or twice daily by taking off the capsule shell and putting the content of a capsule into a feeding bottle or a glass of water or a glass of juice.
It should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to yeast or any component of the capsule. Immunocompromised patients such as those with HIV infections, have undergone organ transplantation and radiotherapy.
The patient should consult a physician, if diarrhea lasts longer than 2 days.
May often cause flatulence.
Taking with antimycotic drugs may impair the effect of Saccharomyces boulardii and taking with monoamine oxidase inhibitors may increase the blood pressure.
Please do not use the product if there are any significant changes in appearance of the capsules.
Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight.
