Indications and Dosage
Oral
Colitis, Diarrhoea
Adult: 800 mg daily in divided doses. Usual dose 200 mg 4 times daily for 3 days.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to nitrofuran derivatives.
Special Precautions
Children. Discontinue if no improvement after 3 days. Not suitable for invasive infections. Ensure adequate hydration.
Adverse Reactions
Hypersensitivity reactions.
Action
Description: Nifuroxazide is a broad-spectrum intestinal anti-infectious agent.
