Oral
Benign prostatic hyperplasia
Adult: 25-75 mg daily.
Special Precautions
Not intended for use in women.
Adverse Reactions
Intraoperative floppy iris syndrome, ejaculatory disorders, buzzing or lightheadedness, hypotension.
Action
Description: Naftopidil is a peripheral α1-adrenergic receptor antagonist used to treat lower urinary tract symptoms.
Pharmacokinetics:
Metabolism: Undergoes hepatic metabolism by CYP2C9 and CYP3A4 isoenzymes.
Excretion: Via bile.
