Indications and Dosage
Topical/Cutaneous
Inflammation Adult: As 0.3% w/w cream/gel: Apply 3-5 cm (or more, if necessary, up to 15 cm), as a thin layer, to affected area 2-4 times daily.
Child: >5 yr As 0.3% w/w cream/gel: Same as adult dose. |

Avoid contact on large areas of skin, broken or sensitive skin, or mucous membranes.

Action
Description: Heparinoid is a topical anticoagulant that has an anti-inflammatory effect by weakly inhibiting PGE2 synthesis and indirectly affecting LTB4 production. The thrombolytic effect is through potentiation of urokinase activity and the anti-exudatory effect is brought about by the inhibition of hyaluronidase.
