Sodium hyaluronate.
Description
Each 5mL contains sodium hyaluronate 5mg.
Hameron also contains the following excipients: Benzalkonium chloride solution, disodium edetate, aminocaproic acid, monobasic and dibasic sodium phosphate, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide, purified sterile water.
Sodium hyaluronate is a biological active ingredient, extracted from cockscomb. It plays a perfect role in remaining wet on the surface of the cornea. It rapidly heals injured cornea by enhancing reproduction of epithelium. Sodium hyaluronate is dissolved in water to make a clear, colorless, viscous solution.
Indications/Uses
Treatment of dry eyes and lubricant when wearing hard contact lens.
Hameron is used during surgical procedures on the eye (eg, cataract extraction), it helps tissues to be separated during surgery and protects them from trauma.
Dosage/Direction for Use
One drop 5-6 times daily. Dosage adjustment is based on severity.
Overdosage
No report so far.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of Hameron.
Special Precautions
For ophthalmic use only.
When using Hameron, the patient should take care not to touch the dropper tip to any surface.
Do not use if wearing soft contact lens.
Effects on Ability to Drive or Operate Machinery: No effect.
Use in pregnancy & lactation: There are no adequate studies of using Hameron in pregnant women and lactating mother. Hameron should be used by pregnant women and lactating mother only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk.

Side Effects
Occasionally pruritus, eye irritation or congestion may occur.
Inform a physician in case of any adverse reactions related to Hameron use.

No report of drug interaction.
Storage
Store in a tight container, at temperature below 30°C.
Use within 1 month from date of opening.
Shelf-Life: 36 months.
