Special Precautions
If the soln is colored, abstain from using the preparation. It is best avoided in children.

Generally well tolerated in recommended dosage; sensitivity reaction may occur.

Action
Description: An enzyme obtained from the venom of vipers, Bothrops species known as batroxobin. Acts on fibrinogen to produce a fibrin monomer which can be converted by thrombin into fibrin clot. Haemocoagulase is a prep containing a factor-x activator and batroxobin. Haemocoagulase is as a haemostatic used in primary and secondary and postoperative internal and external haemorrhage.
