Per 100 g Betamethasone valerate 0.1 g (1% w/w), neomycin sulfate 0.3 g (0.3% w/w)
Indications/Uses
As secondary agent in topical treatment of tinea corporis (ringworm of the body), tinea cruris (jock itch; ringworm of the groin) & tinea pedis (athlete's foot; ringworm of the foot). Prophylaxis of superficial infections in minor abrasions, burns & cuts.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & adolescent Apply to the skin once-tds. Childn Apply to the skin once daily.
Contraindications
Consider risk-benefit: Neomycin: Sensitivity to aminoglycosides. Betamethasone: Allergy to corticosteroids; infection at treatment site; preexisting skin atrophy.
Special Precautions
Pregnancy & lactation. Childn. Elderly.
Adverse Reactions
Allergic contact dermatitis. Folliculitis, furunculosis, pustules, pyoderma or vesiculation.
